Fall is a wonderful time to get married. With cooler days, rich colors, and that crisp scent in the air. It really creates a magical setting for your wedding.
In case you need a little inspiration to sell you on a fall wedding, take a look at some photos from one of my favorite fall wedding shoots – a luxury, intimate wedding in Jackson Hole, WY.
The Perfect Venue for a Fall Wedding
First, let’s chat venue! This is a big contributor to the overall atmosphere of your wedding, and the right choice will help you (and your guests) really relax. For this shoot, we couldn’t think of anywhere better than Antelope Trails Ranch. This venue provides breathtaking views, along with luxury comfort. Their beautiful, two-story main home housed this intimate wedding. The house features 6 bedrooms and ample common areas, making it a great choice if you need room.
Everything from the kitchen to the fireplace is breathtaking! While the house has a capacity for 14 people, there are 67 acres surrounding the house – so it really is perfect if you’d like to be close to your family or friends, but still have space for everyone to roam around. Oh, and they also have two additional houses on the property as well!
I’d seriously suggest taking a look at Antelope Trails Ranch’s website to get a full idea of what this venue is like. It is so breathtaking, and words can’t fully describe it all. You can find that here: http://antelopetrailsranch.com/.
Fall Wedding Florals
Next, FLORALS! This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding, as it really defines a bride’s style while adding so much texture and color.
These florals are some of my most beloved varieties. This floral arrangement featured large, fall mums and delicate ranunculus layered on top of fall leaves, roses, and delphinium. This combination really contained all sizes and lengths to create amazing depth. In the bouquet, you’ll also catch the intricate Queen Anne’s lace, along with some sage. The centerpieces featured amaranth floats.
You can add so much character to your florals which is why a great florist is a MUST! As a passionate floral arranger myself, I have taken a lot of time creating a list of preferred florists around Jackson that truly never cease to disappoint! Or if you’re planning a small, intimate wedding, I also offer sustainable florals (from creative installations to delicate boutonnieres) that can easily be added onto your photography services.
Dress Inspiration for a Fall Wedding or Elopement
Dresses are best when they offer comfort, and elegance all in one! All the dresses below are from the Gilded Social, a local pop-up shop that serves the Jackson community. You’ll find the ladies at Gilded Social stay educated on all the trends so they’re able to recommend the best brands for your style. They can also help out the moms by providing the best designs for your every needs, even if those needs include running after a little one.
For this shoot, the bridesmaids wore velvet, and I have to say it sparked a vivid obsession with the fabric. It is not only comfy, but so chic!
And don’t forget the wedding dress! Sometimes simple wedding dresses have such a dignified feel. The dress in this shoot is a lush, soft, sheer material that keeps a bride in comfort all day, but also lays softly upon the silhouette. Because of its classic style, it is the perfect compliment to statement accessories. For this bride, the statement pieces included a custom leather belt and gorgeous jewels, which truly pulled together so much style & elegance.
Hair and Makeup
Fall is a time that I feel a lot of brides choose a more natural look. I love how refined this can make the final look come out. Makeup artist Tony Crocker did a fabulous job on this bride’s makeup, but for me, her hair was truly the show stopper. With the back pinned into gorgeous layers and flowers woven throughout, this was a stunning look that took everyone’s breath away.
Bridal Accessories with a Fall Touch
The fun details on bridal accessories help create a unique story! From hats to jewels, it’s all about adding your personal style to your wedding look!
The beautiful hat in these photos was a breathtaking combination of styles that I had never seen before. Slightly western, but all vogue. It was the crowning jewel on top of beautiful jewelry, like the sapphire and diamond wedding ring that tied in more of the rich blue.
In addition, this bride wore a matching gold ring & necklace laced with more diamonds and a chic set of sapphire and diamond earrings. All from the local JC Jewelers located in Jackson on the Town Square. They have the BEST service and will work with you to custom designs pieces that are perfectly you.
Fall Wedding Tablescapes
With Fall providing such beautiful weather and the Tetons also laying the perfect backdrop, how could anyone pass up having their wedding outdoors? The view is just perfect to say, “I do,” under. The intimate setting was outside on the venue’s patios and had beautiful, golden light cascading through the trees as the sun set. It was absolutely perfect for a happy couple to have an intimate gathering to dine and toast to their love story.
The table here pulled in some of the rich, fall plaid with Pendleton napkins and luxury, vintage wine glasses. To add in some of the rich blues, you’ll find blue water glasses beside a classic white plate.
A Gorgeous Wedding Cake
I literally almost cried when I saw this cake. It really made me realize how each detail of a bride’s day can mean so much. Even in my wildest dreams, I wouldn’t have imagined a cake like this could be put together. But Lindsey of Lady in the Wild West always creates the most stunning, edible visions that include soft, delicate details that seem impossible. This cake will forever be my favorite of all time.
