Retro Chic Diamond Cross Ranch Wedding In July

January 8, 2025

Maggie & Kinsly

An Elegant wedding at Diamond Cross Ranch during the Summer in Wyoming

This Diamond Cross Ranch wedding captured the perfect blend of retro and chic styles. With luxurious florals, fun pops of disco balls, and chic rattan accents. It all blended together perfectly!

The unique vision from our couple to celebrate their July wedding beneath the majestic Tetons was iconic. We LOVED the ground florals and long, wild aisle of white blooms and long grasses. Having a tented reception also played a key role into this stunning wedding as everyone got to enjoy the mountain view while celebrating.

Morning Preparations

The celebration began with our bride getting ready at The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole. With beauty from HMU By Tanya, their team jazzed up Maggie’s stunning bridal look.

Teton First Look

After getting ready, the couple chose the breathtaking Black Tail Ponds for their own first look. The Tetons providing nature’s perfect backdrop! We LOVED the bright, harsh mid day light at this location for their first look. Having the mountains popping behind them while they shared excitement and a few stunning portraits!

Wedding Ceremony

Soon the celebration moved to Diamond Cross Ranch for family and wedding party portraits before the ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony

Right after getting to Diamond Cross Ranch, smoke rolled in to veil the Tetons. We were grateful for capturing such beautiful moments during their first look but even with the smoke it created an ethereal atmosphere.

This is a GREAT reason to have a location with beauty all around you and a stunning ceremony of florals. That way if the mountains are ever covered up in smoke or rain you still have a gorgeous backdrop!

But during the ceremony, Maggie and Kinsly captivated everyone with their precious vows and humor! All eyes focused on Maggie and Kinsly as they exchanged rings and kissed!

Diamond Cross Wedding Cocktail Hour

Whats a party without cocktail hour?

Our couple chose to bring in Oregon Wines as a node to Maggies home state but even better were their signature cocktails!

Golden Hour Magic

We will show more of the couples grand entrance below but meanwhile we want to show off sunset portraits!

Cake Cutting

Golden hour was truly magical and during this time, they also enjoyed a stunning cake cutting! Above all, the golden hour light created perfect moments for photos. And we HIGHLY recommend doing a golden hour cake cutting!

Dancing the Night Away

Initially, the reception began with heartfelt family introductions. We LOVED that the couple introduced their parents! It was so precious ( parent portraits were so cute too) and we hope it becomes a trend!

After golden hour came the newlyweds’ first dance. Following this, the parent dances brought tears to everyone’s eyes. But the real party got started when Kinsly and his mom ended their dance with picking up cowboy hats and kicking up boots on the dance floor! The elegant affair transformed into a proper Western celebration and we were here for the party!

Film

Our favorite part of Maggie and Kinsly’s wedding at Diamond Cross Ranch were the film photos! While most were 35mm we also shot on vintage kodak camera + 620mm film!

Planning Your Jackson Hole Wedding

Moreover, this celebration shows how to blend personal style with natural beauty. Similarly, the retro-chic elements complemented the venue perfectly. Therefore, couples planning their own Diamond Cross Ranch wedding can find inspiration here.

about the artist

I'm Kayla

A red dirt girl from Oklahoma turned mountain woman with a camera in tow. I have a finesse for fine art in the West and over the years have built a legendary business that encompasses wild landscapes and romance among the mountains.

My love of photography has grown from digital to film. With my dad's old Minolta and vintage  film cameras I've picked up over the years, I use these to photograph my couples in an enduring medium that I adore.

Photography is a still moment, an emotion held forever. To look at and bring us right back to the moment. To remind us  how we felt,  of those we love, and something we cherish and pass down over generations.
