Grand Teton National Park Elopement
Last September, Alyssa and Tim headed to Wyoming and decided to have an intimate elopement in Grand Teton National Park. Together, we planned their intimate wedding under the Tetons, blessed with perfect weather!
Getting Ready in Teton Village
Alyssa and Tim’s September elopement in Grand Teton National Park started in Teton Village, where I joined them at their Airbnb. Alyssa helped Tim with his attire before he left for the first look location. While Tim was on his way, I assisted Alyssa with her final touches and took some detail shots. Excitement filled the couple as they prepared for their special day.
First Look at Cascade Canyon
For their first look, we chose Cascade Canyon, an iconic location in Grand Teton National Park. The dramatic backdrop of the Teton Mountains made it a stunning spot for Alyssa and Tim to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Although Cascade Canyon is often known for its sunset views, it was equally beautiful in the early afternoon light, adding a unique charm to their September elopement.
The moment Alyssa and Tim saw each other was filled with joy and emotion. The picturesque setting and their loving embrace set the stage for the rest of their Grand Teton National Park elopement.
Ceremony at Mountain View Turnout
Alyssa and Tim chose Mountain View Turnout for their ceremony, a stunning spot in Grand Teton National Park. They got themselves a permit to lock down this gorgeous spot, making sure they had the perfect place for their vows without any fuss.
Mountain View Turnout is located just past Jenny Lake, with breathtaking views of the mountains. During their ceremony, a brief storm rolled in, bringing a bit of chill, but the clouds added a magical touch. The soft light from the overcast skies made for perfect conditions—without harsh sunlight, there was no worry about squinty eyes or harsh shadows. The setting, with its dramatic landscape and gentle weather, made Alyssa and Tim’s elopement ceremony truly memorable and romantic as it was visually stunning.
Photos at Mormon Row and Schwabachers
After the ceremony, we explored more of Grand Teton National Park, capturing photos at Mormon Row and Schwabachers. These locations, renowned for their natural beauty, offer lush landscapes and panoramic views of the Tetons. The varied backdrops provided plenty of opportunities to create memorable images during this September elopement.
Celebration at Black Tail Ponds Lookout
The final stop on Alyssa and Tim’s September elopement in Grand Teton National Park was Black Tail Ponds Lookout, a serene spot with sweeping views. Here, they celebrated with a bottle of champagne, using Tim’s parents’ vintage champagne glasses from their wedding. They honored the past in a touching way while celebrating their new beginning.
Alyssa and Tim filled their September elopement in Grand Teton National Park with love, beauty, and unforgettable moments. From the intimate first look at Cascade Canyon to the celebratory toast at Black Tail Ponds, their elopement was a perfect blend of romance and adventure. It was a privilege to be part of their journey as they started their new life together.
