This destination wedding at Villa La Joya in Mexico was stunning with the rich details of the tile and venue along with the romance of palm trees and ocean waves. Destination ceremonies, like this playa del carmen wedding, aren’t as common as in some other locations in Mexico but this venue has us wanting to plan our own on its sandy beaches!

The ceremony held a tall floral installation by our favorite Playa Del Carmen florist, Pure Love Floral Design. Full of luxe florals and complimenting the ocean view, it’s perfect for” I DO”. They carried their blooms throughout the luxury lounge and tablescape.
Omar and Luis pulled in shades of pink, peach, and creams to accent the venue along with sparks of mauve and blue to compliment the ocean blues and pop just a little! If you are planning a Playa del Carmen wedding or even one in Cancun or Tulum, we HIGHLY recommend them!

The table only added to the dreaminess with velvet chairs and gold accents. Sofia of Magnolia Events is a queen of tablescapes and colors. She pulled in a hint of ocean blue with the glasses & candles but then made certain to add a little beach vibe with palm chargers and neutral plates. Sofia’s vision elaborated on the elegance of the Great Gatsby influence but yet accented the natural landscapes and pulled in a sophisticated beach party.
Sofia not only has experience in the Playa Del Carmen, Cancun, and Tulum destination wedding scenes but also an eye for detail and telling the story of a couple. Her organization and calm demeanor helped to make the day run smoothly!

What about those bride and groom details!?!?! This gown from Houghton is truly the perfect wedding gown for a ceremony outside of your traditional setting. Chic and detailed, it packs perfectly and is made for all body types! Paired in with red lips and stunning gold and pearl earrings from Anne Marie it all complemented each other thanks to Melissa Formica‘s beauty skills.
For the groom, a classic linen striped suit from Express pulled off the perfect Gatsby style. Not to mention perfect for barefoot on the beach! Soft, breathable, but wedding-worthy.
