A Winter Elopement at The Wedding Tree

January 5, 2024

The Wedding Tree elopement with Kelsey & Michael for their wintery, romantic wedding!

Imagine escaping to Wyoming and eloping at The Wedding Tree during a snow storm!

Ceremony at The Wedding Tree

Coming from Denver, it was an easy drive up with their two furry pups to celebrate in the wilds of Wyoming!

We kicked off their elopement at The Wedding Tree, once of Jackson Hole’s most famous locations for weddings!

It’s located just outside of Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole. So it’s a perfect location for a ceremony and then to drive down into the park for sunset photos.

Family Photos

After the ceremony at The Wedding Tree, we captured some family photos with their sweet dogs! As you can tell, they also love the snow! And one of our favorite things about The Wedding Tree is that it’s located in the Bridger Teton national Forest. Right beside Grand Teton National Park! So you’re allowed to have dogs their which we LOVE!

Celebration in Grand Teton National Park

We wrapped up things at The Wedding Tree and headed into Grand Teton National Park. Because it was a snowy day, the mountains were just barely peeking through so we got as close as we could to try to get some mountains in!

With a delicious red velvet cake from Seven Confections and a bottle of Champagne, Kelsey & Michael kicked off their celebrations!

Afterwards, we quick took some snowy photographs in place of golden hour! There is something so romantic about snowflakes and an epic winter landscape.

The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

Our last stop was the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar! One of our fav local watering holes where you can cozy up to the bar by sitting on a saddle and enjoying the western style of this classy joint!

My favorite part of being an elopement photographer here in Wyoming is that every one of my couples elopements looks different. This is because we plan something that is just right for who they are! Bringing their dreams to life!

about the artist

I'm Kayla

A red dirt girl from Oklahoma turned mountain woman with a camera in tow. I have a finesse for fine art in the West and over the years have built a legendary business that encompasses wild landscapes and romance among the mountains.

This was all born from a love of old westerns and my dad’s dream of moving out West. Which I did, 17 years ago, as I settled under the Big Horn Mountains in Northern Wyoming. From there I’ve adventured all across the west, hiking miles of trails among our vast public lands and living out my John Wayne era.

My love of photography has grown from digital to film and videography. These are the mediums of my art and there is beauty within each. While photography is a still moment, an emotion held… videography is the voice, the sound of that emotion, from the tears in a voice to the elk bugling in the background. This audible energy of your day will bring you right back.
