Hi, I'm Kayla

Are you thinking of planning a cozy, winter wedding with a rich, caramel color palette and a warm fire crackling in the backdrop? Well, here is a little winter wedding inspiration for an intimate wedding or cozy elopement from the Big Horn Mountains near Buffalo,Wyoming.

Benefits of Winter Weddings

Winter weddings and elopements can be an amazing opportunity for couples who don’t want to say “I do” in the hectic chaos of summer. If you’re getting engaged over the holidays, it’s a great way to plan out your wedding in celebration of your elopement date, and it has the added benefit that you probably won’t be fighting other couples to get the date you want. Oh and another positive – since it is technically “off season” many venues offer special pricing and extra opportunities!

Winter weddings also have some great options that you wouldn’t be able to consider for weddings taking place in warmer months: using cozy fireplaces or bonfires, cabins for destination weddings, and maybe even some skiing or snowshoeing opportunity for guests who are sticking around after the event. Overall, winter weddings are a great way to celebrate love during months where people may feel stuck inside.

Winter Wedding Dress Inspiration

Lace is a beautiful fabric that adds texture in addition to design. Long sleeve dresses are generally in style during the winter season, which is a beautiful option for some, but remember that you also can layer it up to add some additional elements! Denim jacket, fur jacket, Pendleton throws – there are so many wonderful options to add to your style for your day. This dress is a perfect example of a lace gown that has some texture. It has a layered design with the tan lining which is perfect if you are getting married around the snow.

Antelope Trails Ranch – Luxury Winter Weddings

I’ve written about Antelope Trails Ranch before (see my Fall, In Love post!) but there’s really no better time to explore this beautiful ranch than when it’s covered in snow. This venue is surrounded by 63 acres of land, which is perfect to explore before or after the wedding. Oh, and don’t forget – they have a luxury hot tub that can fit 12 people, which sounds like heaven for post-wedding relaxation.

Spring Creek Ranch – Jackson Hole Winter Weddings

Spring Creek Ranch has multiple options to host a wedding, so no matter what size or type of wedding you’re hoping to host, the venue has got you covered. Plus if you have adventurous guests, this option has plenty of winter activities to take part in, including sleigh rides that feature the Tetons, ice skating, and even snowshoe tours! Just what you need to make your winter wedding into a whole weekend (or maybe even week!)

Bentwood Inn – Romantic Lodge Weddings

Looking for a magnificent fireplace to be featured in your wedding or reception? Well, Bentwood Inn has got you covered. They have a three-story river rock fireplace that is only one part of their amazingly romantic lodge that is perfect for a cozy winter wedding. They have plenty of ways to accommodate your wedding dream, so you can’t go wrong here!

This venue is off the beaten path an a great location to hideaway while enjoying ski and hiking trails. All of the images in this blog were photographed here and it was such a fun yet beautiful location.
