Jackson Hole Elopements

A Luxury Jackson Hole Elopement

Couple by Lake Near Tetons Destination Elopement Photography

If George and Amal Clooney were going to elope… I feel like it would look a little something like Rachel and Clay’s Jackson Hole elopement in Wyoming! Talk about a chic couple bringing a flair of style and luxury to their special day!

These two set the perfect example of how you can have a fun, outdoor elopement that doesn’t sacrifice fashion. Clay’s suit was so stylish, while also providing comfort and ease! Rachel had a beautiful dress that flowed with every movement, making it easy to get around in. Plus, the length of her bridal dress allowed her to throw on a great pair of hiking boots, so she could safely navigate the terrain of the Grand Tetons National Park. Honestly, to me, this is one of the biggest benefits of having a long wedding dream.

Jackson Hole Elopement Ceremony at Schwabachers Landing

For their ceremony, Rachel and Clay traded vows at Schwabachers Landing in Grand Teton National Park. A popular location for couples just outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is a common destination due to it being an easy, short jaunt that still has a beautiful view of the Tetons and a reflection on the water.

This summer was one of the smokiest summers I have ever seen. Most days you couldn’t even see the mountains due to the thick smoke rolling in from fires across California, Washington, Montana, and even a few around Wyoming. We were so lucky to not have had many of our own, and I am deeply grateful for that. Rachel and Clay lucked out with some of the smoke clearing out a bit, so we could at least see the mountains peaking out.

During Rachel and Clay’s Jackson Hole elopement ceremony, the couple chose to read their own vows, and I was brought to tears by the depth of Rachel’s vows. As someone who is not gifted with words, I always appreciate it when someone else is.

After their intimate ceremony under those smoky Tetons, they shared their first kiss as husband and wife before we headed off for adventure photos! I like to stop at least a couple of locations after the ceremony so that the couple has multiple options to choose from when they’re framing pictures and showing off their Jackson Hole elopement.

We started this luxury elopement by taking some photos around Schwabacher first, and then made our way to one of my favorite spots, Cascade Canyon! The view here is just absolutely beautiful, and I am dying to do an adventure hike session with a couple who wants to get married after hiking in (hint hint, if you want an adventure, let me know because I can plan all kinds of adventure weddings & elopements).

Lastly, we headed over towards the Jenny Lake area where the sun shines through the Teton range and across the Lake. I love that water lovers can also incorporate that into their weddings around the Tetons since the area has tons of beautiful lakes surrounding the mountains!

Shout out to Elope Jackson who planned the Jackson Hole elopement ceremony and helped the couple get all legal permits set up! It is so important to have your ceremony registered and properly permitted so that you can legally get married in the park!

about the artist

I'm Kayla

A red dirt girl from Oklahoma turned mountain woman with a camera in tow. I have a finesse for fine art in the West and over the years have built a legendary business that encompasses wild landscapes and romance among the mountains.

This was all born from a love of old westerns and my dad’s dream of moving out West. Which I did, 17 years ago, as I settled under the Big Horn Mountains in Northern Wyoming. From there I’ve adventured all across the west, hiking miles of trails among our vast public lands and living out my John Wayne era.

My love of photography has grown from digital to film and videography. These are the mediums of my art and there is beauty within each. While photography is a still moment, an emotion held… videography is the voice, the sound of that emotion, from the tears in a voice to the elk bugling in the background. This audible energy of your day will bring you right back.
